I wanted to take just a slight detour in this post to show you some of my husband’s art. He uses vintage photos, books, and magazine illustrations (yes, we both have quite a collection!) to make really great collages. I’ve been wanting to show you a few of them but unfortunately they are much too big for me to scan. So instead I wanted to show you a few flyers that he makes using the same basic idea - he is a musician and for every show that he does, he creates a flyer such as the ones you see here (he actually physically lays everything out without using photoshop). I think they’re very creative and beautiful, and I always get a kick out of seeing a vintage photo or drawing that I recognize in one of them!
Anyway, this is one idea of other things to do with some of the vintage materials so many of us collect. I would love to see any vintage art any of you might create, too!
